Our Month of Prayer

Jesus said..”My House shall be called a house of prayer for all nations“ (Isaiah 56:7 and Mark 11:17)

Psalm 100: A Psalm of Thanksgiving.

Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!

Serve the Lord with gladness;

Come before His presence with singing.

Know that the Lord, He is God;

It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;

We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,

And into His courts with praise.

Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.

His mercy is everlasting,

And His truth endures to all generations.

"...Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence."

Father God, we come to you in the Name of Jesus! We give You thanks for this nation and for our Queen, who has a covenant with You to be "Defender of the Faith".

We pray for our Government, Prime Minister David Cameron, Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, the cabinet, the House of Commons, and the House of Lords. Father we give thanks for these for they are ministers for our good; for it is written that their hearts are in Your hand and You will change them as You do the rivers and the creeks (Proverbs 21:1). We believe the hearts of our leaders are in Your hand (Romans 13:1-3) and that their decisions are divinely directed by Your Holy Spirit. We pray that their hearts will be open to the prompting of Your Holy Spirit.

Father we give you thanks for those who lead us spiritually. They who have the oversight in our spiritual growth, give Pastor Chris and Loraine, Pastor Paul and Vel, Pastor Kathleen, Pastor Tim and Sandra, Pastor Neil and Trish, Pastor Stephen and Pam, Pastor Barnabas & Hannah, Pastor Richard & Theresa, and Darren Poole, a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You, that the eyes of their understanding being enlightened: they may know what is the hope of Your calling, what are the riches of the glory of Your inheritance in the saints (Ephesians 1:16-23).

We pray that utterance may be given to them, that they may open their mouths boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel for they are ambassadors in Christ, that they may speak boldly as they ought.( Ephesians 6:19-20)

We pray and believe that no weapon that is formed against them shall prosper and that every tongue that rises up against them in judgement shall be shown to be in the wrong. We bless them in the Name of Jesus.

Father God we give you thanks for the vision you have given Pastors Chris and Loraine for a church for at least three generations and we pray for strength, Godly wisdom (Proverbs 3: 13-15 Amp.), and great favour, in every decision they make in fulfilling that vision, particularly as we move into the final stage of our new building. We give You thanks Father for an abundance of provision that God's house will be built in love and excellence, in Your perfect time, to Your glory, and as an inheritance for future generations. (Exodus 36:5-7: 1 Chronicles 28:8-10).

5. For Believers in Cornerstone and other churches (Ephesians 3:14-19).

We bow our knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that You would grant us, according to the riches of Your glory, to be strengthened with might through Your Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in our hearts by faith; that we being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints, what is the width and length and depth and height and to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge: that we may be filled with all the fullness of God. (Also Colossians 1:9-12)

6. Pray for our country.

“...if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)

You said, Oh God, that “blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” (Psalms 33:12). Father, bless this nation so that Your people may dwell safely in this land and prosper super abundantly, far over and above all that we dare ask or think, infinitely beyond our highest prayer, desire, thoughts, hopes and dreams.

By the authority given to us by Your Son Jesus Christ we command satan to take his hands off of our Nation:

            * It’s Government                                                                * It’s Leaders

            * It’s Social Life                                                                   * It’s Financial Life

            * Our Schools, Colleges & universities                                    * Our hospitals & health service.

            * Our armed forces and security services.                               * the police & judicial system.

            * the media                                                                         * Our children

We command this in the mighty Name of Your Son Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Ask of Me, and I will give You

So, Lord our God give us the lost; disturb them until they come to the knowledge of your saving grace.

Father, Jesus said the harvest is truly plentiful, but the labourers are few. So Lord of the harvest send out Your labourers into Your harvest to bring in the lost and bring back the prodigals. (Matthew 9:38)

Peace be within your walls O Jerusalem, and prosperity within your palaces

We say peace, peace be within you. The Lord of hosts will be a refuge, a shield, a mighty fortress and a stronghold to the children of Israel. Israel shall be saved!

9. Please spend some time praying in tongues (Romans 8:26; Jude 20; Ephesians 6:18).

Ask the Holy Spirit to guide and direct you as you pray in tongues, that you will not only build yourself up and change your life, but that you will also change the lives of others. When praying in tongues, pray also that you may interpret.
