Trusting or Trying?

As Christians, we often navigate through life never knowing whether to keep trusting or to keep trying! This is a frustrating and unreliable route to God’s blessings. In every situation, we should be able to recognise the difference between “trying” and “trusting.” When writing to the Galatians, the apostle Paul get’s to the very heart of the matter (of what he has been referring to up to this point) in Chapter 3. Paul points out that there is a significant difference between these two roads to righteous living. But what is the difference between “trusting” and “trying”? More importantly, which is the right road? When washing a child’s hair you tell the child to put their head back so they won’t get shampoo in their eyes. Every time the water starts to flow, their natural reaction is to put their head forward and rub their eyes. This illustrates the difference between Trusting and Trying.
