The Four Boats

Jesus meets us where we are! The New Testament is full of stories about Jesus meeting people as they were going about their everyday business. Saul (who later became the apostle Paul) had planned to go to Damascus to round up more believers and take them to jail. However, God had a very different plan! Jesus met him on the road and turned his life around (Acts 9:1-9). Jesus also met the disciples where they were! “As He walked by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. So Jesus said to them, ‘Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men’. They immediately left their nets and followed Him. When He had gone a little farther from there, He saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who were also in the boat mending their nets. Immediately He called them, they left their father in the boat with the hired servants and followed Him” (Mark 1:16-20).
