He touched Me
Pastor Chris has been talking about being God inside minded, in Christ minded, knowing that God is with us, that we are working together with Him and we are in Divine union with Him. These messages should have stirred up our inner man so that we know who we are in Christ. For what purpose?
John 14:12-14 to get you to believe that you can do exploits as mentioned in this scripture.
Every human being is searching for a touch from God
Genesis 1:26-27 I know that in every human being there is an inherent need for a divine connection or touch.
We were created in the image of God, which means we have His nature in us, that nature causes us to desire the supernatural power of God. Every human wants the supernatural to be real; they want to know there is a real God who does real miracles. The only way they will see the reality of the supernatural is through you and I.
The problem I see in this hour is a large majority of the church seems convinced that the supernatural power of God is not needed or has been superseded somehow or could offend the receiver. Religious preferences and political correctness among other things are robbing the church of the desire to move in the supernatural. No person from any nation in the world would argue with you if they saw the supernatural power of God in operation because it shows God's love, grace and mercy for them.
The reality is the human race has been created by God to respond to and desire after the supernatural. Remember, since mans fall; man has had an eternity choice to follow after God or be led by the evil one. This means if we do not bring the God kind of supernatural to the world they will chase after whatever supernatural they can find even if it is a lie. When the world goes after the counterfeit they will go deeper into a world of bondage and hurt. The church has a duty to the Godhead, each other and the world to show forth the supernatural power of God.
God is with us, for us and He is in us
1 Corinthians 3:16 and 6:19 “…your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which you have of God, and ye are not your own.”
God makes His home in us, and we become the temple of the Holy Ghost. In the Old Testament, the presence of God was only in the temple made with hands but now it is in many temples, which are the believers made by God Himself. If we understand who we are in Christ Jesus we will do exploits that convince the world of the reality of redemption through Christ Jesus.
Through the Holy Ghost, the third person of the Godhead, God Himself indwells you and I the believer. When Christians talk of a lack of power or ability, they show clearly that they do not have the reality of the indwelling presence of God. They feel that God has left them alone because they do not feel powerful or it seems as if they have no ability.
Smith Wigglesworth “…We are a back number if we have to pray for power, if we have to wait until we feel a sense of His presence. The baptism in the Holy Ghost should empower you for any emergency.”
John 14:6 Jesus said “…that He (the Holy Ghost the Comforter) may abide in you forever.”
2 Corinthians 6:16 God said that he “…I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God and they shall be my people.”
We have God's presence with us forever because of the Holy Ghost. Remember wherever you are in the world the presence of God is there with you ready to do a work in a person’s life.
John 14:16-17 in verse 17 Jesus said, “…He (the Holy Ghost) shall be in you.”
1 John 4:4 He is the greater One in you the Holy Ghost.
We have to use the supernatural power of God to show the world the light of the glorious gospel. Always remember that the Holy Ghost is greater than the one who is in the world. If we are conscious of the Greater One on the inside, we will not be conscious of the lesser one in the world.
The world needs a supernatural touch from God today
Romans 15:13 the apostle Paul wrote “…Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”
Romans 15:29 the apostle Paul wrote that he was going to come to them “…in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.”
“…I am certain that when I come to you I shall come filled with the presence, power, agency and riches of the benefits of the gospel of the anointed One and His anointing.” – Neil’s version
Fullness – In the NT, the body of believers, as that which is filled with the presence, power, agency, riches of God and of Christ; fullness, abundance.
Blessing – A (concrete) blessing, benefit.
Paul was going to come to them “…filled with the presence, power, agency and riches of the benefits of the gospel of the Anointed one and His Anointing.” |
