How to be sure that God has heard You
1 John 5:14, 15 [Amplified Version] says, “And this is the confidence, the assurance, the privilege of boldness, which we have in Him: we are absolutely sure that if we ask anything [make any request or petition], according to His will and in agreement with His own plan and purposes, HE LISTENS TO and HEARS US. And since we positively know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know with settled and absolute knowledge that we have every request made of Him."
How many times have you felt that God did not hear you? Or if He did - He appears not to be responding! But if you had absolute assurance and confidence that God hears you, every time you pray you would have full knowledge that He has heard you, and consequently have full knowledge that He has responded. Hence, you will always be certain that you have 'whatever you have asked of Him'!
The trouble with many believers today is this; they have never developed their communication skills with the Lord. The result is lack of confidence when praying because they aren't sure how God is going to respond! Such people petition God based on a vague hope that He might hear and, ‘should He be willing’ at that time, answer!
John 9:31 "We know that God does not listen to sinners; but if anyone is God-fearing and a worshipper of Him, and does His will, He listens to him." |
