Principle of Divine Alignment

Job 9:4-10 READ

•   God is sovereign. He controls all things
•   Sets up kings – takes them down
•   Sets up boundaries – Tells the Ocean where to stop
•   Set the planets spinning – controls the universe.

Hebrews 1:3

Hold all things together by the Word of His Power

•   Alpha and Omega –beginning and end –Holds the past and future in His hand.
•   When you give your life to God –you give Him control of it.
•   God is in control of every atom inside and outside your body.

1.   Alignment

There is nothing outside of His control.

•   By Him all things exist
•   Everything is ultimately made to line up with His divine purposes.
•   You are the ultimate of His purposes

God has a way of aligning things for you.

•   People, places, work, events lined up for you;
•   Why?

a) To fulfill His plans and purposes.

•   He doesn’t have a plan without a purpose
•   The purpose is your involvement in His kingdom on Earth.

b). To take you to the next level

•   God brings people /events /circumstances into your life at exactly the right time for you to get to the next place He wants to take you.

c) He moves your timetable forward.

•   When God aligns things – there is acceleration

2.   Examples of Divine Alignment

a)   Luke 2:25-27

•   He came by the Holy Spirit – He was in God’s Divine alignment.
•   The Holy Spirit always brings us into Divine alignment when we let Him.
•   You will never miss your opportunity when you are led by the Spirit.
•   The Holy Spirit is your guarantee to God’s supernatural timing and placing.

FIVE things revealed about Simeon

1.   He has at the right place – Jerusalem (geography)
2.   He was devout (a worshiper)
3.   Was prophetic (waiting for the consolation of Israel)
4.   Was patient (waited)
5.   Had a relationship with Holy Spirit (was upon Him)

Believe that God had me come to a conference in Sydney in 1998

•   Had no consciousness of any spiritual connection with Australia for years previous.

3. God had Divine Alignment for Israel

•   He wanted to get them to Jerusalem. (Geography),but
•   They wandered in the wilderness for 40 Years – Why
•   Because they were not ready for the journey

Exodus 13:17-18

Then it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, "Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt."

So God led the people around by way of the wilderness of the Red Sea. And the children of Israel went up in orderly ranks out of the land of Egypt.

•   They did not know how to deal with war
•   They did not know how to deal with the enemy
•   Therefore they could not come into God’s Divine alignment

They had to wander for 40 years until they got it right.

•   During this time, God was preparing them for war.
•   It shouldn’t have taken 40 years. – but it did.
•   The only preparation God required was trust.
•   Their focus was fear of the enemy – it should have been trust in God.

THIS IS THE CHALLENGE TO THE CHURCH RIGHT NOW – AT THIS TIME IN HISTORY

•   God will challenge the world with calamities until the church learns to trust.

This is why worship & prayer is important as our priority – We have to be God focused first –then man focused next.

4. God delivered Israel – when they trusted in Him

Psalms 107:4-6

They wandered in the wilderness in a desolate way; they found no city to dwell in.
Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.

Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and He delivered them out of their distresses.

•   They were delivered when they cried (trusted) in God
•   You wander when you don’t trust.
•   You wander when you don’t cry out (pray) to God.

Many people are out of God’s alignment (and blessings) because

•   They don’t know how to deal with the enemy – based on fear and lack of trust in God.
•   They are relegated to the wilderness, when they should be in the Promised Land.

The danger is – you can wander and still receive blessings.

•   Just because you got all your needs met doesn’t mean your alignment is right.

Conclusion – How do you get divine alignment to operate in your life?

1.   Ask God to get your geography right –(right church)
2.   Make sure your priorities are right (check out the time you spend with God (prayer & praise, & reading)
3.   Check out if you have any fear or anxieties in life –and deal with them (by trusting in God)
4.   Be prepared to move quickly into something new in God (spiritual promotion)
