The Holy Spirit within

To experience the Holy Spirit dwelling with us and living within us we must be born again.

Being born again is having the indwelling presence of God, the Divine Personality; the Holy Spirit come and makes His home in us.

John 14:15-21 understand the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit in the Spirit filled believer.

Jesus said in verse 18 “I will not leave you comfortless…” indicating what the Holy Spirit’s job was going to be.

There is no need for any believer to feel alone, nor to be in fear.

John 14:16-17 Christs’ purpose in sending the Holy Spirit was that we would have the Divine Personality living on the inside of us.

Never alone even to the end of this age.

The word another in this scripture in the Greek is allos allos which means another numerically yet of the same kind or quality.

The word allos is in direct contrast to heteros eteros, which means another of a different quality.

John 14:17 I want to focus on the phrase, “…for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”
God holds three relationships toward mankind

God is for us

God is with us

God is in us
God is for us

2 Timothy 1:9 tells us that we have been called with a Holy calling.

Romans 8:28-39 we have a guarantee of success verse 31 says “…If God be for us, who can be against us?”

When you know that God is for you in life, you will be fearless as you live life.

There can be no defeat if the Lord is for us.

Because God is for us who can be against us.

Romans 8:37 “…Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us.”

1 Corinthians 15:57 “…But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory [making us conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

We have the victory in Christ Jesus.

1 John 4:4 we have overcome them through Jesus “…because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

Ephesians 1:19-23 all things are under His feet so they are now under our feet.
God is with us

John 14:15-21 assures us that God is for us and with us. Verse 17

God is for us in every place in life and in every situation and he is with us.

Having knowledge of the Word of God along this line of thinking should make your heart leap for joy.

It should cause us to have faith and confident expectation of what God is doing on our behalf.

John 15:26 the Comforter came from the Father.

Matthew 28:20 He is with us even to the end the age.

Mark 16:20 we see Jesus working alongside the disciples they were not alone.

As the disciples were not alone we can be sure we are not alone.

Hebrews 13:5-6 assures us that God is for us and with us.

God is for us in every place in life and in every situation and he is also with us.

No matter what the circumstances you have in life as a believer God is always with you.

It should cause us to have faith and confident expectation of what God is doing on our behalf.
God is in us

1 Corinthians 6:19 God is with us, for us, and He is in us.

1 Corinthians 3:16 God actually makes His home in our bodies which have become the temple of the Holy Spirit.

In the Old Testament, the presence of God was only in the temple but now it is in many temples, which are the believers.

This is the reality of redemption in Christ Jesus, God recreated us and made us new creatures in Christ and made us His own sons.

2 Corinthians 6:16 He, in the person of the Holy Spirit made our bodies His home.

Through the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Godhead, God Himself indwells the believer.

The body we have is the temple of the Holy Spirit and not just something that keeps us on the earth.

When we as believers talk of a lack of power or ability, it shows that we do not have the reality of the indwelling presence of God.

Smith Wigglesworth “We are a back number if we have to pray for power, if we have to wait until we feel a sense of His presence. The baptism in the Holy Spirit should empower you for any emergency.”

John 14:6 Jesus said “…that He (the Holy Spirit the Comforter) may abide in you forever.”

We have Gods presence with us forever because of the Holy Spirit.

Wherever you are there is the presence of God ready to do a work in a person’s life.
