Our general philosophy is that a special guest should “realize” an income from their visit with us. Consequently, we do not receive Love Offerings, but rather give you an honorarium. If Cornerstone alone is bringing you into town for special services then we feel obligated to cover your total round-trip expenses (economy) and we are happy to do so, plus your honorarium. If, however, we were among a series of churches that you are visiting in the area we would feel obligated only to cover the appropriate portion. In that circumstances vary with so many though, please feel free to call and talk with the pastor for clarification in these matters. We do want you to know that we do not allow anyone (including missionaries) to receive pledges or make appeals for monies to our congregation. Therefore, we ask that any offerings given to you personally be processed through our church and that money will be added to your honorarium. This goes a long way toward teaching our people the importance of accountability to the local church and its leadership.
